Par Washington Wizards will become the head coach’s assistant James Posey. The team management and Posey are still trying to agree on the details of the contract. During his coaching career, he has been an assistant to Tyronn Lue for the Cleveland Cavaliers for five seasons. Last season, Posey assisted David Blatt, who coached the Virginia Cavaliers women’s team. In the next season, he will have the opportunity to work with a Latvian basketball player Kristaps Porzingis.

Posey himself has played 864 games in the NBA. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets with the 18th overall pick in the 1999 draft. He finished his career with averages of 8.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.4 blocks per game.

During his career, he has represented the Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans) and Indiana Pacers.

In 2006 with the Heat and in 2008 with the Celtics, Posey also became the NBA champion. He played 12 full seasons in the league.

NBA champion Golden State Warriors will join in the meantime Trevion Williams, who was not selected in the last draft. He will still fight for a place in the team.

In the past four seasons, Williams represented the Purdue Boilermakers of the first division of the NCAA. In 130 games, he averaged 10.8 points, seven rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocked shots.
