This balance is impressive: “Especially in times like these, it’s nice to see that the club’s activities are being maintained,” said Deputy Mayor Franz Schöttl at the annual meeting of TV Lenggries in the Alpenfestsaal.

Lenggries – With 1385 members, the number increased compared to the previous year. The members are between the ages of just one year and 94 years. And many have remained loyal to the gymnastics club for a long time. 60 honors for 20 to 50 years of club membership were pending.

With this enormous number of members, many hard-working helpers, trainers and trainers are needed. “Without my helpers, the training would not have been possible,” reported the head of the gymnastics department, Gabi Partenhauser. TV chairman Siegfried Brandhofer honored a total of three trainers for their many years of voluntary work and five young women from the gymnastics division for their special commitment.

Investments in the facilities at the former barracks sports ground

Extension of the beach volleyball courts

A lot happened again in the volleyball division last year: Construction work on the expansion of the beach volleyball courts on the former barracks area began in autumn. After completion in the spring, the result was recorded by a Sat1 television team. Division head Christian Keiler presented the short film at the meeting. The sporting successes of the volleyball teams show that the expansion to eight playing fields is worthwhile: The “Volleyball Foxes” are always high up in the rankings.

Successful judoka

A highlight of the judoka, on the other hand, was the men’s second place in the 2nd Bundesliga South, as Division Manager Hans Greil reported happily at the meeting. The track and field athletes also recorded many competitions with top placings. A total of seven athletes were honored for their sporting achievements. In order to be able to train optimally, the circular track at the barracks sports field is to be renewed in the next few years.
