Turkmenistan’s women’s basketball team successfully completes the first round of the Asian Cup.
The Turkmen team defeated the Kazakhstan team by a score of 21:10 and the women’s team of Guam by a score of 21:14. In the third game, our compatriots, who beat Papua New Guinea 21:11, qualified for the preliminary round of the tournament.
Those three victories brought our compatriots 63 points. This made it possible for Turkmenistan’s women’s team to take the first place in their group and advance to the main round of the Asian Cup. The Turkmen team will play in Group D of the same round. The next round of the Asian Cup will be held on July 8.
