Transfer Timber high on FC Utrecht and Feyenoord record lists | News

For FC Utrecht it is the second largest outgoing transfer after Sébastien Haller, who raised 10 million euros (and through a resale percentage and training fee a total of 17 million euros). Excluding bonuses and resale percentage, Timber is currently FC Utrecht’s largest outgoing transfer ever. The sale of Haller to Eintracht Frankfurt involved a basic transfer fee of 7 million euros with 3 million euros in bonuses and later a resale proceeds of more than 5 million euros.

Number three on the list is the sale of Dries Mertens to PSV for 7 million euros, whereby FC Utrecht had not agreed any bonuses or resale percentage. The sale of Timber is extra lucrative, because the midfielder was taken over from Ajax transfer-free last summer. For Haller, a considerable transfer fee of 750,000 euros was transferred to Auxerre on his arrival by FC Utrecht standards.

Due to the sale of Timber and Maher, FC Utrecht already has a positive transfer balance of more than 10 million euros this just started financial year. That provides a certain financial security.

FC Utrecht has to make up for a substantial operational deficit of 6 to 7 million euros with transfers.

Last financial year FC Utrecht more than managed to achieve that amount by selling Gyrano Kerk to Lokomotiv Moscow (7 million euros, can increase further due to bonuses), Maarten Paes to FC Dallas (1 million euros), Vaclav Cerny to FC Twente (1 million). euros) and Denso Kasius to FC Bologna (3.5 million euros, can increase further due to bonuses).

Compared to 12.5 million euros in transfer income, there was more than 1 million euros in transfer expenses for Henk Veerman (300,000 euros) and Luuk Brouwers (750,000 euros).

For Feyenoord, the purchase of Timber is the largest inbound transfer ever. With a transfer fee of 8.5 million euros, the purchases of Marcos Senesi and Danko Lazovic (both 7 million euros) are surpassed. Earlier this summer, Feyenoord already recorded a record amount in terms of outgoing transfers with the sale of Luis Sinisterra to Leeds United for 25 million euros.
