Tour de France 2022: Pinot animates the stage, new fight to come in the Pyrenees

Short stage today between Saint-Gaudens and Peyragudes. 129.7 kilometers are on the program with four climbs in the last 60 kilometers. A mountainous profile which should favor racing movements between favourites. At the start of this 17th stage, the yellow jersey Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) is 2’22 minutes ahead of his runner-up and best rival Tadej Pogacar (UAE). If the Dane is acting as a solid leader for the moment, the Slovenian has promised to attack (again) in the Pyrenean slopes. If his actions confirm his words, the breakaway will have almost no chance of vying for victory today.
