Here is the weekend program in the new space of the city, reopened after years of work
BOLOGNA – Piazza Lucio Dalla opens with a busy weekend of events. The title of the covered space of almost 6 thousand square meters, which reopens after years of work, will take place tomorrow morning, Saturday 9 July, at 10 am (access to the square from via Fioravanti on the Liber Paradisus side) with the mayor Matteo Lepore and the president of the Navile District Federica Mazzoni.
From that moment on, the new square dedicated to the historic singer-songwriter who died 10 years ago will host four months of events with the DiMondi festival starting from a rich weekend with this program:
Saturday 9th July
area sport
- at 11 – inauguration of the exhibition ‘Drawing dialogues’ by Guido Calamosca by Serendippo and judo exhibition on the tatami by Dojo Equipe
- at 11.30 – we dance and play by SIEM, the Italian Society for Music Education
- at 12 – boxing exhibition with Pamela Nutcho, by Bolognina Boxe
- at 2 pm – skateboarding exhibition by Bologna skate school, skating exhibition by Polisportiva Orizon
- at 5 pm – clown and puppetry by Senza il Banco
- at 5.30 pm – performances of judo, fitness, multisport and aikido by Dojo Equipe
- giant chessboard available for the whole day

- at 11.45 am – Games on citizenship awareness by Next Generation Italy
- at 5 pm – Games on citizenship awareness by Next Generation Italy

- at 9 pm – Inaugural concert – Eugenio Bennato
Sunday 10th July

- from 3 pm – skating exhibition by Polisportiva Orizon
- from 8 pm – Official boxing meetings organized by Bolognina Boxe and other Bolognese boxing clubs
- all day free activity on the skateboard track and the giant chessboard

- 9 pm – Collective vision of Italy-France, women’s European football championships
Every day from 10 in the central square the Dimondi bar will be active and the restaurant will be organized by Ora come then and Ingrediente Italia.
Among the main events of the first week:
- Monday 11 at 6 pm the inauguration of the skate park with kids and senior skate contests and at 7 pm start of the theater workshops of Tomax Teatro open to the public;
- Tuesday 12 at 20.30 “Umarells – beyond the construction site” with Danilo Masotti;
- Wednesday 13th at 9pm Têtes de Bois in “pedal concert” by Entroterre Festival.
