The Undersecretary of Sports, Recreation and Tourism of the Ministry of Social Development defined together with the zonal coordinators the dates of the definitions of the historic competition of the Province, which will classify the winners for the Evita Games in different ages.

The Undersecretary of Sports, Ceferino Martínez Almudévar, and the Director of Social Sports, Alejandro Bagatto led the work meeting with those responsible for the different regions in which they reported on the schedule planned for the coming weeks.

The first appointment will be the definition of the Games for Adults -over 60 years- that will take place between August 29 and 31 in

Santa Rosa in the disciplines yew, newcom, toad, cards, orienteering races, bowls and paddle tennis. The winners of the provincial finals will qualify for the Evita to be held in San Luis in November.

Regarding the finals of the Sub 14 and Sub 16 categories, they will take place during September in different venues, with the participation of the four

best team in the Province that emerge from the local and zonal instances that will take place in the coming weeks. The winners will travel to the Evita Games for Youth and Adapted in October, in Mar del Plata.

The dates

Sub 14: hockey, both branches, 9/13 in Santa Isabel; handball, both branches, 13/9 in General Acha; basketball, both branches, 9/19 in Realicó; athletics, both branches, 9/20 at Santa Rosa; chess, both branches, 9/20 in Santa Rosa; men’s soccer 11 and mixed soccer, 22/9 in Eduardo Castex; women’s futsal, 9/22 in Santa Isabel; men’s futsal, 9/22 in Algarrobo del Águila. Dates and venue for volleyball in both branches remain to be resolved.

Sub 16, between September 26 and 30: athletics both branches, women’s futsal and men’s soccer, in Santa Rosa; basketball both branches in General Pico and volleyball, both branches, in General Acha.

Qualifying schedules

At the same time, the qualifying calendars of the disciplines that are not yet part of the Sports Games but that do have space in the Juvenile and Adapted Evita were reported. In these cases, it will be the associations or federations that will determine the dates.

The disciplines are as follows: aquathlon, basketball 3 vs 3, canoeing, basket, cycling, mountain biking, artistic gymnastics, judo, swimming, figure skating, roller skating, taekowondo, beach volleyball, climbing, karate, skateboarding, tennis, boxing, beach handball and paddle ball.
