CATANZARO “The world of basketball mourns the death of Gustavo Tolotti, an extraordinary athlete very attached to Calabria where he contributed to writing important sports pages”. This was stated by the Councilor for Sport of the Municipality of Catanzaro, Antonio Cosentino. «He will always be remembered as the flag and the record holder of appearances at Viola Reggio – he continues – but Tolotti also played an important role, in the final phase of his career, as promoter of the rebirth of basketball in Catanzaro in the early 2000s. First playing on the court, and then devoting himself to the career of assistant coach and youth coach. Alongside him, several generations of basketball players have grown up who have found in his person an extraordinary source of inspiration and precious teachings. In recent years, after leaving sport, he had also decided to start a business in the province of Catanzaro, in our land where he spent a lot and was able to meet his dearest loved ones.
