The University of Qatar will finally be the base camp for the Spanish team during the World Cup, which will be held for the first time in an Arab country and in the fall, specifically from November 21 to December 18 next. FIFA has validated the request made by the Spanish Football Federation chaired by Luis Rubiales to facilities that meet the requirements demanded by Luis Enrique and his coaching staff.

The headquarters, from where Spain will travel alone to their matches and will always return to spend the night, is located in the Al Dafna district of Doha, 28 kilometers from the capital’s International Airport. The facilities have two training fields that will be used exclusively by La Roja. In addition, it has a gym, recovery areas, technical and meeting rooms, venues at the height of what the most important football event on the planet demands.

The Al Thumama stadium, where Spain will debut against Costa Rica on November 23 at 5:00 p.m., is located just 22 km from the venue, less than half an hour by car. A very comfortable trip, just like the rest of the fields, since the farthest venue of all, the Al Bayt stadium, is only 39 kilometers away. The distance from the university facilities to the international press center is barely 11 kilometers, according to the FEF.
