On August 24, the Ukrainian national team will host the Italian national team in “Arena Riga”.
The team led by Bagatskis already played PK qualification matches in Riga at the beginning of July. First, Ukraine won a victory over Georgia with a score of 79:66, but then suffered a setback against Spain in a fierce battle, losing in the last seconds with a score of 76:77.
In the second qualifying stage, the Ukrainian national team will play in Group L with Italy, Spain, Iceland, Georgia and the Netherlands.
In August, the Ukrainian national team will also hold a preparatory stage in Riga not only for the PK qualification matches, but also for the final tournament of the European Championship, which will begin on September 2.
In the group stage in Milan, Ukrainian basketball players will face Great Britain, Estonia, Italy, Greece and Croatia. The top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.
LBS also highlighted in the statement that all proceeds from the sale of tickets for this match will be used to ensure the participation of Ukrainian teams in the European Championships.
