The Los Angeles Lakers continue to evaluate alternatives on the market thinking about the 2022-23 NBA season and although it is not within their plans to change Anthony Davis, an important offer could modify the organization’s plans.
One of the teams that could bet on it is the Toronto Raptors, who are one star away from becoming candidates to fight in the Eastern Conference and Davis could be a very interesting alternative due to his role on both the offensive and defensive sides.
One package the Raptors could opt to keep Davis with would include Gary Trent Jr. and OG Anunoby, who would come to the Lakers along with two future draft picks.
This would guarantee the Californians two more players to complement their roster and two forward-thinking prospects, something the Lakers’ front office is sure to appreciate after giving up multiple picks in trades in recent years.
In the case of Toronto, it is to make a quality leap at the position and they could put together a tandem that includes Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam along with Davis, surely appearing as solid contenders in their conference.
