“Yaris Cup” in the competition of four participants in Laitse, the leading three became known early, as Toms Bumbiers retired in the second qualification, ending the day of the competition. The results in both the third qualification and the final were the same – Linards Jasons first, followed by Klāvs Žvagins and Hanna Mūrniece.

LADA RX in the class, only eight participants, all holders of leading positions, went to the long stage. The task was the stage podium and overall points. After the attractive second stage in Riga, Jānis Olle was perfect in Estonia – winning all races, including the final. With two victories in three stages, he strengthens himself in the lead of the overall standings. Mārtiņš Muraška and Andris Krastiņš, the winner of the previous stage, are also on the podium in Estonia.

Just as perfect, also consolidating at the championship lead, “Super 1600” Janno Ligurs was in the class. He won all heats, including the final. This is Ligur’s third victory in three stages – a clear leader of the season. After him, Lithuanians Rītis Gurklis and Rītis Rutkausks climbed onto the podium in Laitse. All three also make up the top three in the overall ranking. The best of the Latvians was Modris Žentiņš, finishing fifth. The other one from our team, Jānis Lideris, did not finish in the final, taking the seventh place.

Intrigue is always promising “Super 2000” class also this time offered an interesting outcome of the competition. After a difficult start to the season, Ivo Gabrāns won his first victory this year. In the first qualifying round, he conceded on this occasion to the host Marco Muru, but won the other qualifying rounds. Also in the final, Gabrān took first place. Kristaps Kasparovics second, Muru third. The situation in the championship has worsened, because with this success, Ivo has equalized the number of points with Mura. Kasparovich third, ten points away (88-88-78).

Maija Staken, one of the medal favorites, experienced a disastrous stage. The first two qualifications took place in the usual mode – among the leaders. But a disqualification in the third race for overtaking in the yellow flag area started the post. With this result, she had to compete in a race of last hope to reach the final. However, in this fight, Maia withdrew due to technical problems, remaining in the last place in the stage. It will be a chase if Staken wins the remaining three stages.

It turned out to be one of the brightest fights BMW RX 3000 class, also the largest number of participants – 17 riders. The victory was won by the main favorite Kārlis Nebars, who achieved victories in the first two qualifications. However, Ivo Traubergs and Kaspars Fricsons, who made it to the finals, got the rest of the podium positions only through the race of last hope. Fricson also received a penalty for a collision with a competitor in the race of last hope. Nebara’s victory worsens the situation in the championship, but the leader is still the winner of the first stage, Ralfs Igavenš, who finished fifth in Estonia. Fourth in stage Māris Mors. Raivis Galviņš is behind Igaveņš and Nebar in the overall standings, who, however, started in Laitse, not in Sweden, finishing ninth.

No big surprises “Supercar” in the class – Edijs Ošs convincingly won, while Estonian Andri Ouns and Jānis Veģeris were on the podium. In this order, the trio is also in the leading positions of the overall standings.

“Xtreme” class riders did not find this stage worth visiting.

The next stage for the Latvians will also be away, and the home stage for the Lithuanians will be in Vilkichi in a couple of weeks.
