The results of July 31 in badminton

On July 31, the badminton men’s doubles competition ends with the crowning of the Chinese Taipei pair composed of Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin against China. A new duel featuring China and Taiwan will take place tomorrow in women’s singles with gold again at stake.

Chinese Taipei are in the spotlight after seeing their pair win the badminton men’s doubles (21-18 and 21-12). A confrontation won against China. For those who don’t know, Chinese Taipei is the name used by Taiwan when it participates in international organizations because of the non-recognition of this state by the People’s Republic of China. This victory and the Olympic gold thus had an additional importance. The bronze medal went to the Malaysian duo made up of Aaron Chia Teng Fong and Soh Wooi Yik who won their duel against the representatives of Indonesia. Led in the score at the end of the first round (21-17), the Malaysians reversed the meeting (21-17) then (21-14) in the race for 3rd place.

China VS Taiwan: we do it again tomorrow!

Among the girls in individual, Chinese Taipei also showed itself by overcoming a representative of India in the semi-finals (21-18, 21-12). Tai Tzu-ying therefore advances to the final with another gold medal chance for Taiwan. While in the other 100% Chinese confrontation, Chen Yufei wins. The duel is relaunched tomorrow between Taiwan and China!
