The Los Angeles Lakers continue to be led by LeBron James, who already has a title with the franchise, the one achieved in the 2020 NBA season. However, since then things have not gone so well and the results have not come.
The year after the championship, the Lakers were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. Then last season, the team missed the postseason, posting one of the worst schedules in franchise history.

However, James and the Lakers remain a difficult duo to break until 2024, as the player wants to stay with the club until that date, according to Marc Stein.
The reason is simple: James wants to play with his son Bronny, who will be eligible to enter the NBA Draft in 2024, and the veteran forward would seek a deal with the team that selects him.
James, who is currently set to become an unrestricted free agent next summer, will be eligible to sign an extension with the Lakers beginning Aug. 4.
The player seems to have clear goals and his future planned. The desire to play with his son remains and it is something he could achieve in 2024.
