The NBA’s vaccination requirement is about to be lifted

According to information obtained from Yahoo’ Sports, the NBA management will not enact any vaccination requirement for the 2022-2023 season. On the other hand, reminders of the players and technical teams against the vaccinations they have or have not had will continue.

Based on discussions with the NBA Players Association, NBA management may propose a rule regarding periodic testing of unvaccinated players.

After this move, which was in compliance with the NBA, Health and Safety Protocols, the states respected the rules within themselves, and left the follow-up to the states.

While 95% of the players in the NBA were vaccinated last season, players such as Andrew Wiggins, the All-Star player of the last champion Golden State Warriors, who were initially anti-vaccine but changed his mind, also took their place in this process.

As of today, there are two names that know that there is no vaccine. Matisse Thybulle, teammate of Furkan Korkmaz, our national basketball player playing in Phildelphia 76ers, and Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving continue their opposition to vaccination.

The new season in the NBA will begin on October 19.
