LIVE Ball– PSSI is looking for an opponent for the Indonesian national team trial match on the upcoming FIFA Matchday September 2022.

One of the teams that might be the opponent of the Garuda squad is Curacao. The less widely known country has a decent rating. Most recently, they are 84th in the FIFA rankings.

The team nicknamed La Familia Azul joined in the Concacaf zone (North and Central America) along with 40 other member countries, including the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

“Currently PSSI is exploring to conduct trials with the countries of Curacao, India or Hong Kong,” wrote PSSI’s official statement.

“PSSI continues to communicate with the three countries,” continued the article.

However, the odds against Curacao are relatively small when compared to the other two opponents, because there is a COVID-19 vaccine obstacle that prevents Art Langeler’s squad from coming to Indonesia.

“However, for Curacao there are obstacles. Because some players and officials have not vaccinated. In fact, one of the requirements to enter Indonesia must be vaccines,” the article continued.
