The France team qualified for the semi-finals of the Women’s Euro by beating the Netherlands, defending champions 1-0 after extra time, on Saturday in Rotherham (north of England), and will face Germany on Wednesday in Milton Keynes.

After five consecutive eliminations in the quarterfinals of a major tournament, Les Bleues have reached the last four for the first time since the 2012 Olympics. A penalty transformed by Eve Perisset (102nd) delivered the team of Corinne Deacon, who stumbled for a long time on goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar.
