BASEBALL. The Coaticook Rocket South Shore suffered a crushing 9-2 defeat against the Ducs de Longueuil on Wednesday night (July 13).
The highlight of the game: Longueuil was leading 3-1 after four sets of play, before adding two runs in the fifth and four runs in the sixth to take the lead more comfortably, heading for victory.
Individual performances to remember: The Ducs starter Hugo Pépin (5-1) was sparkling in throwing a complete game where he allowed two hits and two earned runs, obtaining a fifth victory in 2022. He struck out seven batters and allowed six walks. On offense, let’s note three RBIs for Jérémie Leblanc, who hit two doubles.
