Cruel scenario for the French basketball team! Deprived of most of its NBA players, the team coached by Vincent Collet lost a small point against Montenegro (70-69) in an atmosphere of madness in Podgorica. The French were led for a long time (56-48 at the end of the 3rd quarter) before picking up again under the impetus of Theo Maledon (16 points) in the last quarter. The good performances of Vincent Poirier (18 points, 12 rebounds) and Elie Okobo (14 points) were not enough, the Blues experienced their first hitch in this qualifying campaign which they will continue on Monday against Hungary.
