Magione (Perugia), 10 July 2022 – A boat as a fisherman, the nets in the background, the sunset on the Trasimeno as a frame. Steve McCurry this wedge ofUmbria he knows him very well and loves him. The lens of one of the most famous photographers in the world had already immortalized the villages and the waters of the lake. He had already met the embroiderers of Panicale and the men who weave nets in San Feliciano. But a true love never goes out and so the author of “the Afghan Girl” is back by the lake.
His neck inevitable camera he was accompanied by the fishermen of the Cooperative of San Feliciano to the middle of the lake and performed his magic. Shots that we will see maybe one day who knows where, and how. But in the meantime, the first photos released are precisely those that see the Magnum photojournalist as a subject and not as an author.
