“Either the coaches or the management made it clear to us that we want to advance. It would be a play on words if we want to or if we have to. Every player in the team wants to advance,” defender Dávid Hancko says forcefully.

“At home, we showed that we are a better team, even though the results did not go according to our expectations. We just need to score a goal and I believe that we will manage to break it here and take the promotion,” adds the 24-year-old Slovakian representative.

“It is possible that when they play at home, they will try to attack more in the beginning and surprise us with something. However, I don’t expect much from the way they celebrated the 0:0 draw and that they were able to stick to their plan, even though their defending wasn’t exactly good,” Hancko realizes.

“I think they will continue to do that and it will be up to us again to repeat the performance we did a week ago and open them up with a goal. That will be the most important,” expects the representative captain.

First of all, his team has to deal with the pitfalls of the artificial turf.

“Adaptation is a difference, but I personally played for a long time in Žilina on artificial grass, so it’s not that much of a difference for me. When I saw how wet the artist was during training, I think that it could be very fast, which could help us get into them,” reflects Hancko.

He likes the background of the Viking. “It has a nice, modern stadium. I like these when the stands are close to the pitch. I hope that it will be a winning stadium for us,” Hancko wishes.
