Arne Slot believes he has to be creative with the resources he has at his disposal in Feyenoord. The trainer still does not know what his selection will look like.
“As a trainer, you have to be flexible. If I cannot find a successor for Guus Til, I will consider a slightly different interpretation of the midfield. During the preparation, we will therefore play with the point back in midfield for the time being,” he says in conversation with Football International.
He already has ideas about the composition of the team. “Now I also want to give the right side a little more support. That can be done with Geertruida controlling, but possibly also with a 10 that leans a little more to the right of the middle. It’s a matter of searching and tuning. And fulfill your agreements in the field. I say always: when we attack Feyenoord is a democracy with plenty of room to be creative and when we defend we are a dictatorship.”
