Does he come or does he not come?
The transfer posse surrounding the 33-year-old continues to make the headlines in the Bavarian capital, and from the record champions’ point of view, there is not only a question mark behind the future of the exceptional Polish striker.
Gnabry to Chelsea? Tuchel allegedly with a “non-binding request”
In the shadow of the Lewandowski cause, the contract game surrounding Serge Gnabry is becoming more and more acute. After all, the whereabouts of the national striker also hang in the balance. The 26-year-old’s contract expires in the summer of 2023, and talks about a possible extension have so far come to nothing.
FC Bayern with “very good offer” for Gnabry
“Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an agreement yet. There are still a few different ideas,” explained Bayern President Herbert Hainer recently with regard to the winger’s contract situation.
According to “Sport Bild”, FC Bayern Gnabry is said to have submitted an offer with an annual salary in the range of 17 to 19 million euros.
Honorary President Uli Hoeneß confirmed – without giving specific figures – a lucrative offer from the record champions. “I know he has a very good offer from Bayern. Now it’s up to him to make a decision,” said the 70-year-old.

Mané transfer causes crowding on the wings
Even though Jürgen Klopp’s former protégé, unlike Gnabry (far right), is more at home on the left wing, the competition on the flanks, which are already prominent (Gnabry, Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman), is intensified by the transfer.
As so often this summer, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic is asked to find a quick solution to the Gnabry cause. “From the club’s point of view, it would only be fair if a player did not want to extend it, that we talk about how we can solve this situation satisfactorily for everyone involved,” said the 45-year-old to “Sport Bild” and inevitably played it up a sale.
According to rumors, the record champions should demand at least 40 million euros if they change. But which teams are even considered for a commitment of the German national player?
Chelsea favorite on Gnabry transfer? There’s a big catch
In addition, according to “Sport Bild”, Gnabry does not want to play for any other London club due to his past at Arsenal (2011-2016).

Gnabry: Return to Arsenal unlikely
Speaking of Arsenal: The Gunners are traded on the island as the secret favorite in poker for the 26-year-old. While a return to North London for Gnabry doesn’t seem entirely impossible, according to Mustapha, there’s still a catch:
“Arsenal are still looking for a player to fill his position, but his alleged wage demands are likely to be prohibitive. The club have obviously learned their lesson from the transfers of Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and now want to keep salaries at a level that is reasonable for them .”
Gnabry: Real rumors just smoke and mirrors?
If you talk about a possible buyer for Gnabry outside the Premier League these days, you can hardly avoid the name Real Madrid. The newly crowned Spanish champion has been said to be interested in the Bayern star for some time.
On a sporting level, a transfer would make sense, like Felix Martin of Eurosport in Madrid stressed. “Gnabry would be a perfect addition to the right wing at Real, where he would compete with Rodrygo for a regular spot,” says the expert.
However, Martin does not consider a move to the royal team to be realistic: “I think these are just rumours. After all, Gnabry was not only associated with Real, but with numerous Premier League teams, so I’m not sure sure if he’s going to move to another team at all this summer or if he’s just exploring the market to put some pressure on Bayern.”
What is certain is that FC Bayern, in the shadow of the Lewandowski cause, will also be busy with Gnabry’s poker for quite a while.
