For a second consecutive evening, the CIEL-FM of Rivière-du-Loup bit the dust seeing the adversary come back at every opportunity. This time, Bérubé GM from Trois-Pistoles scored eight points in the 6th inning to win 10-6 at home.
The hosts trailed 6-2 when the attack exploded. Doubles from Samuel Sirois and Nicolas Thibault notably made the difference in this fateful round for Rivière-du-Loup.
In the 3rd inning, the Bérubé GM took the lead 2 to 1 on a home run by Jacob April. The visitors had however given themselves a fairly comfortable priority on a simple productive Simon Rousseau in the 6th round.
On the mound, Tristan Michaud-Thériault, who came briefly to relieve Gabriel Cyr, won the victory. For CIEL-FM, working for five and two-thirds innings, Philippe-Antoine Gagnon suffered defeat. Note that the game ended with four defensive errors on each side.
