Seahawks: Chris Carson retires

It’s a fresh start hitting Seattle. Runner Chris Carson has announced his retirement, which ESPN announced minutes before, following his neck injury which occurred in November 2021.

Chosen in the 7th round of the 2017 draft, the former Oklahoma State rider has accumulated 4,306 yards and 31 touchdowns in 49 games in 5 seasons. A powerful runner, intimidating for defences, he will leave the memory of a tractor that was difficult to stop when he was in full possession of his physical abilities.

His coach Pete Carroll paid tribute to him on the franchise’s website minutes after the announcement.

“From the first time I saw Chris on video, I loved his style, and was thrilled when we got to have him. Watching him grow and become such an important part of our program was a joy to watch. He will be missed knowing how much he brought to our program. »
