Sports Writing, Jul 15 (EFE).- The Russian Andrey Rublev, second favorite, beat the Serbian Laslo Djere 7-5 and 6-4 and will face the Argentine Sebastián Baez in the semifinals of the Bastad tournament.

The holder of eleven titles, three this year -Marseille, Belgrade and Dubai-, took ninety-five minutes to resolve the clash with the Balkan.

Rublev aims for his first success in Bastad. He will play in the semifinals against Baez who ended the improvement shown by the Austrian Dominik Thiem and won 6-2, 6-7 (5) and 6-4.

The day was completed with the triumph of Francisco Cerúndolo, also an Argentine, who beat Russian Aslan Karatsev 7-5 and 6-1 and will play for a place in the final against Spanish tennis player Pablo Carreño who overwhelmed Diego Schwartzman 6-1 and 6-0.
