LaLiga president Javier Tebas responded to rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo going to Atletico Madrid. The Spanish League boss admitted that he would be happy if CR7 returned.
Ronaldo transfer rumors are hot, following his desire to withdraw from Manchester United. Several clubs are rumored to be approaching him, with the last one being Atletico Madrid.
Los Colchoneros is rumored to be a club offered by Ronaldo by the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes. Responding to the news, Tebas said he would be happy if Ronaldo returned to Spain.
“I would love to have Cristiano Ronaldo in LaLiga again,” he said, as reported by ESPN.
“Whether or not Atletico Madrid can sign him financially, I don’t know. There are some players who have to leave if they want to sign him.”
“To sign players like that, you have to have big pockets,” he said.
Ronaldo’s own rumors have been denied by Atletico. President Enrique Cerezo said it was impossible to sign the Portuguese striker.
At present, Atletico already have many attackers, namely Antoine Griezmann, Alvaro Morata, Joao Felix. If you want to recruit Ronaldo, one of the attackers must be released.
