Ronaldo is not for sale, unless someone wants him. Manchester’s hands are tied

The buzz around soccer striker Cristiano Ronaldo is growing. Just like last year, there is speculation every day whether the Portuguese star will leave his club. For now, Manchester United assures the public that this will not happen. However, Ronaldo is not with the team, he traveled from the pre-season training.

This only added fuel to the fire of speculation. Now, however, Manchester coach Erik Ten Hag has informed that he has left the club for personal reasons. Not because he was negotiating a transfer.

There are reportedly only two serious applicants for Ronaldo’s services. Surprisingly, Bayern Munich and Napoli are interested in him. The German club already brought Sadio Mané in the summer and has a clear attacking number one in Robert Lewandowski. However, according to other speculations, he could strengthen Barcelona, which would free up a place at the top. Napoli is not even a top club in Italy, the last title was won more than thirty years ago in the 1989-1990 season.

But both Napoli and Bayern will play in the Champions League in the fall, which is probably the biggest attraction for Ronaldo at the end of his playing career.

However, the main question remains whether there is interest in Ronaldo. His salary is around 550 thousand euros per week and there are not many clubs in the world that will be willing to pay that kind of money.

In addition to the aforementioned teams, according to ESPN, Chelsea were also interested in his services. Official negotiations on the transfer have not started, however.

The management of Manchester, together with the new coach Erik Ten Hag, convinces the fans that they are not going to sell the club legend. “We’ll keep Ronaldo,” assures Ten Hag adamantly.

But representatives of Juventus expressed themselves in a similar way before Ronaldo headed to England less than a year ago.

“Maybe Manchester is doing everything behind the scenes to get rid of Ronaldo, but if no one wants him, then their hands are tied. All they can do is keep convincing everyone that Ronaldo is their player, until either his agent or Ronaldo himself speaks publicly, ” writes the server Football365.

Paradoxically, it was precisely the arrival of Ten Haga that stirred up a larger wave of speculation on the topic of Ronaldo’s departure. A modern coach with high demands on the mobility of players in all positions could have a problem with CR7’s already settled game.

But now it is The Hag who is persuading the 37-year-old forward to stay at the club. “I spoke with Cristian. The content of our conversation will remain between us only. But I can confirm that we had a really good conversation. We are counting on Cristian in the new season, that’s just the way it is. I’m looking forward to working with him,” he told reporters.

The Hag also denied that Ronaldo told him he wanted to leave Manchester United. This was previously reported by the British media with reference to the fact that Ronaldo wants to play in the Champions League next season. Manchester has to lose its appetite for this, because last year it finished sixth.
