Orienteering, mountain biking, archery or even climbing… Summer promises to be sporty in the Rhône. About fifteen activities will be offered free of charge to young Rhodanians aged 3 to 17.
Led by the Rhône Department, the Rhône Vacances system, which runs from July 11 to 29, should make it possible to “introduce new disciplines to young people who do not benefit from activities during the holidays”. They were 5,400 children to have taken the plunge last year.
An investment of 37,500 euros
The twenty sports educators mobilized will guarantee, according to the institution, “the quality of the initiation sessions and bearers of the positive values conveyed by sport such as teamwork, perseverance, respect, etc”.
A global envelope of 37,500 euros is allocated to all the participating committees and clubs, spread over the whole territory.
