Dominican Republic.- The contest will be held from the 14th to the 22nd of this month at the Parque del Este Table Tennis pavilion, the president of the Dominican Badminton Federation, Generoso Castillo, announced on Tuesday.
The sports event will have the full support of the Dominican Government, through the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Tourism, as well as the Dominican Olympic Committee.
It will be a sporting event, with a mixture of cultural activities to be held in the Colonial Zone, where the international delegations will stay. Athletes from 20 countries will compete for the points awarded by the world ranking of the junior category.

The head of the Badminton Federation offered the details of the event during a meeting with the press held in the James Rodríguez Room of the Ministry of Sports, accompanied by the Vice Minister of Sports Kennedy Vargas, president of the Dominican Olympic Committee Antonio Acosta and the director of events of the Pan American Confederation of Badminton Ricardo Salamanca and the treasurer of the COD José Luis Ramírez.
Castillo stated that it will be a sporting event, with a mixture of cultural activities to be held in the Colonial Zone, where the international delegations will be hosted.
He stated that athletes from 20 countries will compete for the points awarded by the world ranking of the junior category.
He highlighted the support of the Government of President Luis Abinader and the Ministers of Sports, Francisco Camacho, and Tourism, David Collado.
Regarding the countries involved in the contest, he explained that of the 350 athletes, a total of 288 will compete in individual and the rest in team events.
