SANTO DOMINGO.- Tonight Dodger Stadium will be the site of the Home Run Derby. Albert Pujols (Cardinals), Juan Soto (Nationals), José Ramírez (Guardianes) and Julio Rodríguez (Marineros) are the Dominicans who will compete in this version of the well-known “Festival de Quadrangulares”.
Sluggers Pujols, Soto, Ramírez and Rodríguez will seek to join their compatriots Sammy Sosa (2000), Miguel Tejada (2004), Vladimir Guerrero (2007), David Ortiz (2010) and Robinson Canó (2011), as the only criollos to be crowned Home Run Festival champions.
The remaining four participants will be Pete Alonso (champion of the past two versions of 2019 and 2021), Ronald Acuña Jr., Corey Seager and Kyle Schwarber. The four outstanding Dominicans who will participate in the Home Run Derby will set a record for Dominicans in the history of these sports competitions.
Greater impact
Although the All-Star Game is tomorrow, Tuesday, many people think that the Home Run Derby is the most interesting and attractive part for the fans.
