Program: Condé on the back beach side with its free activities and concerts

After Condé on the garden side, it’s now time for the beach. From the July 9, 2022, the summer rendezvous is launched in the Maurice-Piard park. Open all week, Condé beach side hosts many activities which will be free for almost all of them.

The same goes for the aperitif concerts that take place every Friday evening in Condé-en-Normandie (Calvados).

Schedules

Condé beach side is open from Monday to Saturday and partially on Sunday. Monday to Thursday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., subject to weather.

Activities are offered every day by a dozen Condéenne associations. “New this year, we will have relaxation gymnastics with a ball and golf initiations and discovery,” explains Valérie Catherine, president of the festival committee.

As for the activities already present in previous years, sports with archery, tennis or even boxing. Moments of relaxation with yoga, massage or reiki. And moments of culture with scrapbooking, photo rally, or the presence of the bibliotacot every Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Inflatable structures for 2 to 5 year olds should also delight families.

All this organization revolves around three chalets (well-being, sport, information) and a kiosk. A sand ground will allow to practice football or volleyball. A space for rackets (tennis, badminton, speedball) is also present. Without forgetting the essential rental of pedal boats and rosalies. Be careful though, swimming in the pond is prohibited.

Concerts of various styles

Launched last year, these musical moments had been truncated due to the covid and the sanitary measures which had been right for the last two concerts. This year, we will still have to be vigilant in view of the resumption in recent weeks of covid cases. In all, six concerts are scheduled to take place at the bandstand. Every Friday evening, with the exception of the first which takes place on Wednesday 13 July. It is the pop-rock group Pram’s which launches the hostilities, at 8:30 p.m. This exceptional choice of Wednesday offers the possibility of continuing with the fireworks of the commune, at 11 p.m.

Friday, July 22, at 7:30 p.m., the Chopains take over with covers of pop blues and jazz standards. Friday, July 29, at 7:30 p.m., the Edmond & Edmond duo offers a Norman, Quebec and Irish repertoire. On August 5, at 7:30 p.m., covers of pop-rock and 80s standards are on the program with the group Folkanic. The penultimate concert, Friday August 12 at 7:30 p.m., will be Fäø with current music. Finally, Salem concludes the season on Friday August 19 at 7:30 p.m. in a soul, folk, pop, rock and funk style.

A special restoration

Note that all his concerts are accompanied by special catering. In a food truck, a paella is to be tasted with the Délice de Saint-Germain for the first event. Then, All Pizza the yellow truck, from the Chez Laurette rotisserie, sandwiches, sausages, fries with Camille Pereira, pancakes, pancakes with The sweets of Penmarc’h and finally vegetarian dishes with Au vert festin will be to be enjoyed by everyone their turn at the concerts.
