Presentation of medals at the Triais Judo club

An air of the end of the year floated in the gymnasium last Saturday. Indeed, the Judo club triais had brought together all the children of the judo school and their parents. First, the little judokas gave a demonstration, then the 2 teachers, under the amazed gaze of the children…. and parents. Finally, it was the delivery to each child of his new belt, symbol of the passage of grade, a diploma and a bib. So no more white belts, but yellow, orange and even green for Gabriel Dajas.

Then general assembly: presentation of the results of the actions of the season, with participation in various competitions or demonstrations which allow the group to progress and above all to weld together. The financial balance sheet reflects a healthy association, with balanced accounts, with its 80 licensees, including 54 children and 26 adults in Taïso.

A new office has been elected. President: Thibault Le Porhiel, coach; treasurer: Delphine Laborde and deputy Christine Abadie; secretary: Myriam Lacaze and assistant Céline Sanchez. The new president thanked Myriam Lacaze “for everything she has done for the club during her 10 years as president”, then presented the projects for the next season, including participation in the Trie party in August, at the forum associations in September, and a mountain outing with adult and child license holders.

On the sporting level, the project is to bring as many children as possible to the competitions, especially for the youngest. He adds “as a teacher, it’s terribly rewarding when a lot of children come to the competitions”.

Taïso classes will also be maintained for teenagers and adults.

Jean Claude Andrieu, vice-president of the French committee for fair play presented the fair play cup to the club to reward sporting respect.
