Ploermel. Summer educators return to the nautical base. Sport

As the school holidays begin, Thursday July 7, 2022, for them, it’s back to school. The four sports educators of Ploermel community (Morbihan) begin their summer season, Monday July 11, 2022. A few days before the curtain rises, Élise, Christophe, Johan and Ludovic came to take the temperature at the nautical base, Wednesday July 6, 2022.

Free activities and materials

It is 4:30 p.m. The sun is beating down hard on the shores of Lac au Duc. At the start of summer, there are already plenty of towels on the small, equipped beach. With this sun, people benefit, as long as it lasts, hopes Élise. Jérôme Jagoury, director of the sports division, also crosses his fingers. The season is very weather dependent. One day, it’s raining, there’s nobody and the next day, the sun is shining and it’s dark with people. You always have to be ready.

For this, the mechanics are well established on the Ploërmel community side. There are two chalets at the nautical base. They are occupied by the tourism pole and the sports pole of Ploërmel community, and are available to visitors. Our animators offer free equipment against an identity document.

If the nautical base is in free access for all, a schedule has been established so that the installations benefit the greatest number. Leisure centers reserve their stays well in advance. Some have therefore already blocked activities. For those who have not anticipated, there are still slots. We will adapt. From Monday to Friday, groups can sign up to play tennis, badminton, baseball, golf or orienteering.

State-certified sports instructors

The general public is not left out. All these activities are possible by presenting yourself directly on site. The idea is really that everyone can practice easily, and above all for free. It allows you to be independent. A family can collect rackets, a group can request a removable football goal. It’s a la carte.

The four employees of Ploërmel community are delighted to start the season. We’re not going to complain. Our office is the lake, there are worse. And then, people are on vacation, there is a good atmosphere,” rejoices Elise. These community agents usually work in schools, associations and rehabilitation centres. We work with people from 2 and a half to 100 years old, says Ludovic. All are graduates of a State patent. Summer promises to be sporty, friendly, and safe on the shores of Lac au Duc.

From July 11 to August 31, 2022, reception from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Registration for activities, on site or by phone on 06 08 05 12 96
