Peru at Valledupar 2022 Bolivarian Games: Luis Fernando Barco won gold medal – GOLF

Peru’s seventeenth gilt came through golf. Luis Fernando Barco won the gold medal at the Valledupar 2022 Bolivarian Games this Friday, by winning the individual modality.

Barco secured the medal with a round of 71 shots (-1), after which he had to play a playoff with Guatemalan José Toledo, whom he beat on the fourth playoff hole.

Peru stands out in the 2022 Bolivarian Games

The Peruvian delegation registers so far 17 gold medals in the Bolivarian Games Valledupar 2022where they have contributed the disciplines of badminton, fencing, artistic gymnastics, judo, water polo, rowing, sports shooting and now golf is added with Luis Fernando Barco.

Peru already has more than 60 medals in the general, ranking fourth behind Colombia, Venezuela and is fighting for third place with Chile.

There are 455 Peruvian athletes in Valledupar 2022, who will compete in 41 of the 45 disciplines of the multi-sport event. In the last edition, Santa Marta 2017, Peru finished in fourth place in the general medal table with a total of 154 medals (32 gold, 53 silver and 69 bronze).
