After the try-out open on 29 June held in Aosta, 8 athletes (4 girls and 4 boys) were called up for a further selective training with Team Italy, which will be held on 20 July in the gymnasium of the Alessandro Antonelli state scientific high school in via Crimea 7 in Novara.
Thus continues the process of the selections of the U17 national team of baseball 5, which from 16 to 19 November will participate in the European Championship of the category which will take place in Sofia (Bulgaria). On the occasion, the athletes selected in the try-outs of CR Liguria, Lombardy, Valle D’Aosta and Piedmont will be present; the latter will be supervised by coach Maurizio Balla, who is assisted in the work by the councilor Isabella Dalbesio, contact person for baseball 5 of CR Fibs Piemonte.
The following athletes have been called up for the occasion: 2007 Ilaria Boscolo (Porta Mortara Novara); 2007 Jasmine Buraschi (Porta Mortara Novara); 2007 Giada Cardiani (Porta Mortara Novara); 2007 Beatrice Ognisanto (Porta Mortara Novara); 2007 Matteo Ariaudo (Skatch Boves Softball Baseball) 2007 Tommaso Cavallo (Skatch Boves); 2006 Mirko Pelagatti (Avigliana Bees); 2006 Edoardo Lariccia (Porta Mortara Novara).
