Oldenburg holds US-American MaCio Teague

The EWE Baskets Oldenburg have signed the American MaCio Teague and thus completed their squad planning for the coming season in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). The ex-master announced this on Friday.

Teague (25) signed a contract for two years, so far the guard has mainly attracted attention at college, he was denied the leap into the NBA.

“With MaCio we have found the last missing piece of the puzzle for our squad that we were looking for,” said coach Pedro Calles: “He is a young player who wants to prove himself to us and we like the combination of modesty and winning mentality Has.”

Teague had impressed in college at UNC Asheville and the Baylor Bears, with whom he won the championship in 2021. Despite a contract with the Utah Jazz, it wasn’t enough for the NBA, Teague came to Oldenburg via the Salt Lake City Stars (G-League). “The BBL is one of the most competitive leagues in Europe,” he said.
