Anderlecht are working on the future. The Purple & White has managed to capture one of his talents for longer.
Mario Stroeykens has extended his contract with RSCA until 2024. The 17-year-old attacker comes from his own youth and was allowed to play in the main force in seven games last season. Thanks to this contract extension, the Purple & White keeps other interested clubs off the transfer market.
“I am proud of my trajectory: I started this adventure at the age of 8 and this club has given me a lot since then. I want to give something back to the fans by proving my worth with the first team. I’m ready for the next level,” said Stroeykens.
CEO Peter Verbeke: “Just like for a number of other youngsters, the coming season will be important for Mario’s development. Despite his young age, Mario is physically and technically ready to compete within the first squad.
