But aside from the formalities, The Serbian also celebrated with his children: Stefan, seven years old, and Tara, four. This Monday, both little ones had an honor that few can boast: they set foot on the main court of the All England Club. Before saying goodbye to Wimbledon, the children enjoyed the grass, ran around and smiled for the cameras in front of which Djokovic posed with the long-awaited Challenge Cup.

For two weeks, little Stefan stole the camera in training because he was active with Novak, showed his skill with the racket and the enormous resemblance to his father. “I try to use every opportunity, every possibility, and the time available to play with him because now he is completely immersed in tennis. Everything related to tennis, how he can play, he is looking, he is analyzing”, declared the tennis player and added that getting involved in this sport has been a child’s decision: “I never force him to be on the tennis court, but if he wants, I always try to prepare myself to be there and play with him”.

The Wimbledon champion is characterized by being very familiar. In the big events, the company of his wife Jelena is never missing and their children usually go to the finals, so they are used to the protocols that tennis requires, such as keeping silent while each point is disputed. However, the couple has been very discreet and does not usually publish many photographs showing the faces of minors, even during their first years they were anonymous in the media.

Nole and Jelena met in 2005, when they were students; he was beginning his path towards the professional tennis elite and she was preparing to continue her studies in Italy. After maintaining a long-distance relationship due to the demands of their occupations, they began to live together.. Jelena has since dedicated herself to the Novak Djokovic Foundation and they got married in 2014, precisely after a triumph like the one this weekend at Wimbledon. The family lives in Monte Carlo, Italy, but enjoys downtime in Marbella, Spain.
