Notthingham Forest formalizes the arrival of Orel Mangala

Orel Mangala leaves Stuttgart for Nottingham Forest, the English club, recently promoted to the Premier League, said on Sunday. The Red Devil has signed up for a long-term contract, the duration of which has not been specified.

The amount of the deal with Stuttgart has also not been disclosed.

Orel Mangala, 24, arrived in Stuttgart in 2017. On loan to Hamburg, in D2, during the 2018-2019 season, the Brussels resident, partly trained in Anderlecht, then established himself in the Stuttgart squad, playing in total 109 games (3 goals and 10 assists) for the Swabian club.

Mangala was first called up to the national team in March 2021 but the midfielder had to withdraw due to a thigh injury which sidelined him for more than three months. He finally celebrated his first caps with the Devils last March during the preparation matches in Ireland and against Burkina Faso.

Former double winner of the Champions Cup (1979 and 1980), Notthingham Forest returns to the Premier League this season after 23 years of absence.
