NFL: Aaron Rodgers stays with Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (38), MVP of the last two NFL seasons, has agreed to continue his career with his lifelong team, where he started his career in 2005, according to Ian Rapoport, reporter for NFL. com and NFL Network.

The contract extension would be for four years and 200 million dollars (about 183 million euros). That would make Rodgers the highest paid player in NFL history.

A Super Bowl on the list

If he remains on two brilliant seasons at the individual level, Aaron Rodgers on the other hand experienced two disappointments, each time being eliminated prematurely in the play-offs. Results all the more frustrating as Green Bay and its QB have not returned to the Super Bowl since their last victory in 2011.

Rodgers had then hinted that he could change teams or end his career. But he will eventually continue with this one in Wisconsin. In 17 seasons with the Packers, Aaron Rodgers threw for 55,360 yards (10th in NFL history) and 449 touchdown passes (fifth). He was previously NFL MVP in 2011 and 2014.
