Newcomer Alba Berlin with the first newcomer: Nina Rosemeyer

The basketball players from Alba Berlin made the first newcomer perfect. The 21-year-old winger Nina Rosemeyer is moving from the owner Angels Nördlingen to the capital and will in future wear the Alba jersey for the Bundesliga promoted team. The club announced on Wednesday. The former youth international is the first new signing in the team of head coach Cristo Cabrera, which will start in October for the first time in the club’s history in the first Bundesliga.

We are happy that Nina strengthens our team. She is still young, but has already gained experience abroad and in the first division. She has a lot of potential that will help us on the wing with her defensive presence, her shooting and her move to the basket, said Alba’s sporting director Himar Ojeda about the U18 European champion. The 1.87 meter tall winger began playing basketball at USC in her hometown of Braunschweig. As a 14-year-old she was already on the floor in the second division. From the U16 to the U20, Rosemeyer went through all national teams and took part in a total of four European Championships, one World Championship and one Challenger tournament.
