NBA Summer League Day 9: James Wiseman likes for Golden State Warriors

The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Golden State Warriors with Jonathan Kuminga even without Chet Homgren. The finalists of this year’s Summer League have also been determined.

A total of seven teams finished the preliminary round with a balance of 3-1, in the end the difference in points made the difference. Here the New York Knicks (11.8) and Portland Trail Blazers (8.3) were the best, they will play the champion on Sunday at 9 p.m. German time.

Both teams were not in action last night. No. 4 pick Keegan Murray convinced again for the Sacramento Kings. The 21-year-old scored 21 points (8/14 FG) and 10 rebounds in the 82:69 win against the Phoenix Suns, and the forward sank four three-pointers.

On the other side, German national player Karim Jallow played 11 minutes but didn’t get a point (0/3 FG). After all, Jallow collected 3 rebounds and 1 steal. Ex-BBler Ish Wainright (13, 4/9) was the best scorer for the Suns.

In the top game of the day, OKC Thunder beat Golden State 90-82, even without lottery picks Chet Holmgren and Ousmane Dieng. No. 12 pick Jalen Williams had 10 points (4/11 FG), but showed major weaknesses on the free-throw line (2/7 FT). Jonathan Kuminga (16, 5/15 FG) and James Wiseman (14, 4/6, 7 rebounds) were used for the Warriors. Wiseman netted his only threesome of the evening, while Kuminga unpacked a furious dunk after a great spin move. Overall, the two again showed good approaches, for Wiseman it was probably the best game in the Summer League so far.
