NBA Summer League Day 10: Kyle Allman Jr. becomes the clutch hero for the Miami Heat

Kyle Allman Jr. gave the Miami Heat a narrow win over the LA Clippers with a three-pointer late in the game. JT Thor of the Charlotte Hornets has attracted attention.

The big names were a bit lacking on day 10 of the Summer League, the top rookies mostly watched the games from the bench. Only Jabari Smith Jr. showed up with 12 points and rebounds at 4/15 from the field and 2 blocks.

For example, a player like Allman Jr. could be Man of the Match on his second attempt in the Summer League when he pocketed the Clippers with a stepback three-pointer with 40 seconds remaining. The 24-year-old was the top scorer of this duel with 26 points (4/10 threes) as well as 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

However, the most successful scorer of the entire day was Thor, a second-round pick from last year. With 9/14 from the field, 3/6 from downtown and 7/8 from the free-throw line, he had 28 points, which was just not enough for the Hornets to win against the Minnesota Timberwolves (86:89).

The team with the most points on Day 10 was the Chicago Bulls with 119 points, with 8 Bulls scoring at least 9 points. Above all, Marko Simonovic, the second-round pick of 2020, hit 11 of his 15 shots from the field on the way to 26 points and 8 rebounds.

For some teams it was the last appearance in the Las Vegas Summer League this year, with six more games to follow on Sunday evening. The Portland Trail Blazers and New York Knicks are playing to win the title.
