NBA: Lonnie Walker IV talks about his role with the Los Angeles Lakers | Sports

Lonnie Walker IV was officially introduced as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers this week and discussed his role with the team.

He didn’t rule anything out, mentioning that his main focus is doing what he’s asked to do to help the team win an NBA championship and learning from the most influential players being Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

Walker IV indicated that he left the San Antonio Spurs because he saw that the franchise did not have him in the reconstruction and long-term plans. However, he is very grateful to have been on the Texas team and the teachings that the coach offered him.

Walker IV is from Reading, Pennsylvania and won a championship with that city’s high school. He then attended the University of Miami and entered the NBA Draft where he was selected by the San Antonio Spurs.
