Mohamed Dahmane president of Olympic Charleroi! – All football

After the departure of Patrick Rémy, doubts remained concerning the future of Mohamed Dahmane at Olympic Charleroi. But the Franco-Algerian remains more than ever involved with the Mastiffs, since he … replaces Rémy in his role!

Sporting director and player of Olympic Charleroi, Mohamed Dahman is going, at 40, to take even more stripes and a third cap. The Mastiffs have announced that Dahmane will now hold the position of club president, after the now effective departure of Patrick Rémy. Dahmane declares, on the official site: “I exchanged several times with Patrick Rémy who wanted to leave his functions as president on June 30 to refocus on his family. He asked me to take over. I spent a long time hesitated (…) So for Patrick, the club and the project that we have been setting up for 2 seasons, I have decided to accept this big challenge. Patrick has done a monster job for more than 20 years (…) his presence as Honorary President has comforted me and allows me to work calmly with his solid network and my partners”.

It remains to be seen whether Dahmane, who has held the roles for three years at Neuville, will be able to assume this new role while remaining present on the ground for his teammates. Olympic Charleroi will soon reveal a roadmap to lead the club until 2025.
