Miryang City Hall badminton team wins the association’s long-term team and men’s individual events

(Miryang = News 1) Reporter Kim Myung-gyu = The badminton team from Miryang City Hall, Gyeongnam proved to be the best in Korea by winning the team and men’s individual events at the ‘2022 Korea Badminton Association Long-Term National Badminton Competition’ held in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do.

In this competition, held for 8 days from the 14th to the 21st, a total of 53 college and industrial badminton teams from across the country participated, and about 390 players participated. They beat life 3:1 and won the championship.

In the men’s singles, the Miryang City Hall team swept the championship (Hyeong-Seok Kang), runner-up (Kim Dong-Hoon), and third place (Wan-Ho Son), and in the men’s general doubles, Miryang City Hall’s Kim Sa-rang and Choi Hyuk-gyun took runner-up.

Meanwhile, Miryang City is expected to solidify its position as a badminton mecca city as it is scheduled to host major badminton tournaments starting from August, including the Long National Student Badminton Championships of the Korea Middle School and Elementary School Federation, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Badminton Competition, and the Miryang Yonex International Badminton Competition.
