After participating in the Pan American Championship in El Salvador, last April, Mexican badminton continues with its international agenda and arrives in the Dominican Republic to play the XII Santo Domingo Open 2022 from Wednesday 8 to June 12, with the presence of 20 countries.

The Mexican delegation is headed by Job Castillo Galindo and Luis Armando Montoya, who were proclaimed continental champions in doubles in the Salvadoran capital, and this time they will return to the court in the same modality, as well as in singles, a category in which they also The Olympian, Lino Muñoz Mandujano, and Armando Gaitán Fausto will compete.

For its part, in the women’s branch, the also Olympic in Tokyo 2020, Haramara Gaitán Fausto, will see activity in the individual category, as well as Vanesa Maricela García Contreras, a test that will bring together 24 players in the main draw, while 16 are in the qualifying phase.

The XII Santo Domingo Open 2022, organized by the Pan American Badminton Confederation, will bring together 167 outstanding exponents from countries such as Guatemala, Brazil, Canada, Jamaica, Cuba, Chile, the United States, Peru, India, the Dominican Republic, Slovenia, El Salvador , Italy, among others.

The event, which will take place in the Parque del Este in the Dominican capital, is part of the international series of the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
