Meesseman and Allemand take revenge against New York Liberty in WNBA | WNBA

For the first time this season, Meesseman, Allemand and co. 2 games in a row. That was not three yesterday in its own Wintrust Arena.

Sky missed an ailing Candace Parker, but the absence of the double MVP was easily made up for by Kahleah Cooper with a double-double (16 pts, 11 rbs).

At halftime, Sky still had to chase (44-46), but in the 3rd and 4th quarter Copper and Courtney Vandersloot (23 points) made the difference. That last topper added 9 assists and 6 rebounds.

Meesseman had 8 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds in 32’41” and Allemand was good for 2 rebounds in 8’53”.

In the standings, reigning champions Chicago, already assured of the playoffs, remains in the lead with 22 wins and 7 losses. Las Vegas (21-8) is second, ahead of Connecticut Sun (20-9). New York (10-18) is 11th and penultimate.

Chicago will visit Connecticut on Sunday.
