Ligue 1: Amavi, another player dismissed at OM by Tudor following a collision?

These events are undoubtedly reminiscent of Marcelo Bielsa’s debut at OM. When he arrived in 2014, the Argentinian technician wanted to part with several players, including Rod Fanni, and prepared a “loft” to push them out. And obviously, Igor Tudor made the same arrangements.

According to information from FC Marseille, later confirmed by La Provence, Jordan Amavi had a clash with his coach before the friendly match against Betis Sevilla (1-1). Consequently, the French side would train away from the group, in the company of Kevin Strootman, also punished since the end of the internship in England. A departure is therefore more relevant than ever for the 28-year-old player, who was loaned to Nice last season. The successor to Jorge Sampaoli would not count on him, especially with the arrival on loan of Nuno Tavares.

An altercation with Gerson?

Due to his strict training methods with very physical sessions, Igor Tudor also allegedly had an altercation with Gerson a few days ago. However, there wouldn’t have been any consequences as the Brazilian took part in the last training sessions with the group.

The former Hellas Verona technician would be very demanding and justified himself on the sidelines of the draw against Betis: “We have seen some interesting things, but there is still a long way to go. We’ve only been working for three weeks and it’s the complete opposite of what they were doing last year so we need time. Today I saw some fragments of what I want to see”.

During the pre-season, OM only won once against Marignane Gignac (4-1) before losing twice and drawing a match. Dimitri Payet’s teammates will have to catch up this Sunday at the Stade Vélodrome against AC Milan to build up their confidence, before starting their championship against Reims on August 7.
